Frequently asked questions
Quick answers about requesting and tracking a refund.
How do I request a refund?
Go to Request a Refund and enter your order number, the email address you used for the order, and the purchase date. Then choose the items, the refund type and the reason, add any photos or documents, and submit. You get a request ID straight away.
How do I check my refund status?
Open Track a Refund and enter your request ID, for example RF-10482, and the email address you used. You will see where your request is, any message from the merchant, and the full history. Every email we send you also includes a direct tracking link.
How long does a refund take?
It depends on the merchant and on your payment provider. Most merchants review requests within a few business days. After a refund is processed, banks and card providers usually take 3 to 10 business days to show it on your statement.
Does submitting a request guarantee a refund?
No. Every request is reviewed by the merchant under their refund policy. Submitting a request starts the review, and the merchant decides whether to approve it.
What happens after my refund is approved?
The merchant processes the refund through its own payment system, usually back to your original payment method. You get an email when the refund is being processed and another when it is complete.
I lost my refund request number. What should I do?
Look for the confirmation email from Refundly, which includes your request ID and a tracking link. If you cannot find it, contact us with your order number and email address and we will help.
What information do I need to request a refund?
Your order number, the email address used for the order, and the purchase date. Photos or screenshots are optional, but they help the merchant decide faster.
Which files can I upload?
Images in JPG, PNG, WEBP or GIF format, and PDF documents. You can add up to 5 files of 5 MB each.
The merchant asked for more information. How do I reply?
Open the tracking link in the email we sent you, or enter your request ID on Track a Refund. You can write your reply and attach files right on that page.
Is my payment information safe?
Refundly never asks for or stores card numbers, security codes or passwords. Refunds are paid by the merchant’s payment provider directly to your original payment method.
